Back in Black

Posted by Debbie in Debbie's Blog

So, I was on facebook all of three days and had such highs as speaking with friends I hadn’t heard from in 14 years to repeating the bullshit that made me leave it all in the first place.   and so I left.

What to do now? The good news. I have my own writing and art studio in the redwoods here at our new place. Not shitting you, I’ll post pics soon.  There is a talked about book deal on the table and a column.   I just don’t know what to do with myself.  I will paint it out. Oh and if one more fucking person asks me to twitter I will gouge your fucking eyes out.

I  love you all, except you and you, you’re cool…..

She is Awake

It sucked that I had to miss the Cherry Bleeds Reading.  I wanted to go but Dave had to work late and Brian wanted to leave sooner…gah.

I have not had internet in over 3 months. not in my pad anyway.  Pics of the new pad soon.  Not sure if I should keep this site up.  I’m painting a lot.  Writing a little.  But I do miss the handful of true friends I have and communicate on the machine that will eventually destroy us.

I wish i had said this first, but I didn’t, Hunter S. Thompson did:

‘At the same time, I shared a dark suspicion that the life we were leading was a lost cause, that we were all actors, kidding ourselves along on a senseless odyssey.  It  was the tension between these two poles - a restless idealism on one hand and a sense of impending doom on the other - that kept me going.

Blurt.

Posted by Debbie in Debbie's Blog

Update that you are hungry for like “keeping up with the Kardashians” Or whatever the fuck. um “well Jerry, with the economy like it is…” Struggling. Sucking it up. My birthday was on April 30th. I am 36, wow, I have lived longer than christ…But DONT CRY FOR ME. I have tons of pics I need to post. The camera on my phone is actually full (And I have to wait for David to get them off for me) from all the pictures I have taken of Gonzo. I have decided to you know “own” my shit. Yes, it is a prejudice and it is bad. However I can easily say that I do not care for people who grew up privileged. I’ve tested this theory…all I’m gonna say. I am learning that in addition to that I simply prefer the company of my pets over most people. I need to call my best friends Dawn and Brad…and I think about them..and as you get older every branch spreads a different way and that is just life.

Heard from everyone on my b day, Christopher Robin stopped by and gave me a three day old Rasperry Strudel. Heh, I love that dude. He helps me keep the white trash dream alive. And oh the joy I get from actually talking with Joie Cook! I’m sending her my last copies of my last 5 chapbooks. I’m no David Lerner, but I’m gonna stay in my cave. I let few in. This page is simply pretentious and wasteful if I’m not sharing my new writing with anyone but JJ, and my novel just might turn into a Moltov Cocktail with a MATCH to you…but I ain’t making no promises. I want to change my name it will either be Rizzo, or Pippi Longstockings. I’ll take suggestions. So, now that I am picking up this brush I will prolly mostly use it to show you what crap Im painting.

I’m out. I looked the beast of the small press right in it’s deadlights…and I decided FUCK THAT.

Poesy has been awesome. we thought we would be to print right now but I that’s why Brian didn’t really put a date in concrete. Writing my review of HACK JOB by Dave Church was the most challening reviews I’ve ever had to write. It’s different if someone died 7 years ago…his friends and family are going to read it. You can decide how I did when Poesy comes out.

I encourage my friends to visit or write me once in a while.

I will self indulgently post pictures of myself soon.

People just ain’t no good….
