I applied for and was offered the Poesy Internship. It will be great to be involved again in a different caliber. Poesy will be announcing it on their blog. Also, there is a description of what I will be helping with on Poesy.org. I think it’s just a one issue internship, I think we are playing it by ear. I just CAN’T stay away from the small press!
I am currently reading the rum diaries, today I found a cheap section in a used bookstore and bought”The Great Shark Hunt Gonzo Papers vol. 1″ Generation of Swine Gonzo Papers vol. 2 (Tales of Shame and degredation)” and finally “Songs of the Doomed. More notes on the death of the american dream, Gonzo Papers Vol.3 went to open mic night at the anarchist bookstore with Dave and Brian. It really sucked. Then one day there were stories and questions about Debbie Kirk. Had she run away? was she coming back? And it was always understood by all involved that Debbie was gonna do what Debbie wanted to be true. One rumor in particlar is that she am slowly morphing into Hunter S. Thompson. She’s watched GONZO a zillion times. And that she enjoyed her year away but was developing an alter ego of sorts. She wears the glasses everywhere with a visor. And she says she wants to channel his brilliant spirit to help her get back up after a little fall. She figured if he couldn’t do it no one could. It’s true she spouts Hunter S. Thompson quotes at inappropriate times in conversation. Debbie says she needs some time away. maybe yall could write to her.sinnncity66613@yahoo.com

I WILL write an update soon on what I’ve been up to. but not cause i have to. I think this had been my longest time to step out of the poetry world and I think it’s done me a hell of a lot of good. Please pass the word again and thank you to William so much for setting the reading up. There are going to be tons of old friends there and it should just be a total blast ( If I don’t throw up in Brian’s car)
I’m not saying I’m back or going to write everyday. But I’ll be around again and let you know whats up. I believe I have a chapbook coming out thru K.S.E. next month.
